Our managed care plan (HMO), gives members access to a large and
comprehensive network of health care providers in our 13-county service area.
With this plan, members are required to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP),
and may change that selection at any time. It is the PCP’s responsibility to
help encourage prevention throughout the doctor-patient relationship.
BlueCare HMO offers many benefits, including: coverage while traveling,
minimal out of-pocket expenses, no claim forms to file and flexibility during
plan design. Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania maintains close ties with
all participating providers to help ensure quality care and to keep costs under
control.
