BlueCare Major Medical is designed to supplement the hospital and medical/surgical benefits of the BlueCare Cooperative Plan and the BlueCare Student Benefit Plan. BlueCare Major Medical covers expenses that exceed basic Blue Cross^® and Blue Shield^® benefits, such as medically necessary doctor visits, durable medical equipment and prosthetics, prescription drugs and ambulance services.

The BlueCare Cooperative and BlueCare Student Benefits Plans may be purchased with or without BlueCare Major Medical coverage.
