BlueCare Traditional Plans

Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Highmark Blue Shield offer several traditional health care insurance plans to meet your needs. Our traditional plans give you freedom of choice in selecting health care professionals from a large network of local providers. Out-of-area care through the national BlueCard® Program is available with most plans.

BlueCare Security

Medicare provides coverage to eligible individuals for most of their health care needs. But, Medicare does not pay for everything. To help fill "the gaps" in what Medicare pays, Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Highmark Blue Shield have developed BlueCare Security, a Medicare supplemental policy.

Children are our number one priority. With an emphasis on health and wellness, CHIP is available to eligible children through First Priority Health®.

 

adultBasic Health Insurance for
Adult Pennsylvanians

First Priority Health

The program, administered by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, provides health care coverage at one low monthly premium for adults ages 19 through 64 who do not have health insurance and who are not eligible for Medicaid or Medicare. With an emphasis on preventive care, adultBasic is available through First Priority Health.
