The BlueCare Student benefit plan is a Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Highmark Blue Shield plan for full-time college students. This plan provides year-round coverage for hospital and medical/surgical bills at special low rates designed to accommodate a student’s budget.

The BlueCare Student benefit plan provides preventive benefits for an annual screening mammogram (for women age 40 and over or when recommended by a doctor), annual routine gynecological exam (including Pap test and breast exam) and pediatric immunizations.

When you use providers associated with Blue Cross^® and Blue Shield^® , you’ll receive discounted allowances, which help to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. You will also have access to medically necessary care worldwide through the BlueCard^® Program.
