WILKES-BARRE-- The Board of Directors of The Blue Ribbon Foundation of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) recently approved nearly $122,000 in contributions that will be shared by 14 United Ways across BCNEPA’s 13-county service area.

The United Way of Greater Hazleton received $7,748.00 for its 2012/13 campaign, targeted specifically to support health-related programs for Hazleton-area residents.

"We are pleased to partner with the United Way of Greater Hazleton to help provide much-needed services for our region's most vulnerable residents,” said Cynthia A. Yevich, executive director of The Blue Ribbon Foundation.

"We are most grateful for The Blue Ribbon Foundation’s continued support during these difficult economic times,” said Pat Ward, president and CEO, United Way of Greater Hazleton.  “The generous contribution of $7,748.00 will allow us to continue serving families most at-risk in the Greater Hazleton area."
