As our community continues to recover from the flooding of September 8 and 9, Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) recognizes the agencies and volunteers that have been working non-stop to respond to the needs of flood victims.
In support of the disaster recovery efforts that are underway across northeastern and north central Pennsylvania, BCNEPA has contributed $20,000 to the Wyoming Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and $5,000 to the Northcentral Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross. Additionally, BCNEPA employees are joining community-wide efforts by collecting cleaning supplies to be donated to the Red Cross for our neighbors who have challenging clean-ups ahead.
“We are making these contributions to support the Red Cross as they assist our members, our employees, our friends and our families who were affected by the flooding,” said Denise S. Cesare, BCNEPA’s president and CEO. “We are proud to join the many other businesses across northeastern and northcentral Pennsylvania who are also contributing their time and resources to assist with the recovery process, because we believe that by working together, we can help our community through this disaster.”
