Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) Caring Corps employee volunteers celebrated National Volunteer Week (April 6-12) by helping paint a childcare room and racquetball court at the Greater Scranton YMCA.

National Volunteer Week celebrates the power that volunteers have to inspire the people they help, as well as to inspire others to serve.  In honor of the national event, BCNEPA employees participated in volunteer projects in the community every day of the work week.

During National Volunteer Week and all year long, BCNEPA employees are encouraged to volunteer for nonprofits in the community through organized Caring Corps projects and through BCNEPA’s progressive Volunteer Day policy, which provides paid time off to participate in community service.
