Wilkes-Barre, PA – Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) is hosting welcome events at its retail stores for new members who have purchased BCNEPA coverage through the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) Open Enrollment period.
Many of these individuals have purchased health insurance for the first time and are looking for more information about using the benefits – such as prescription drugs, preventive and wellness services and laboratory services – that come with their new coverage.
The events are scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Park Center, 1019 Commerce Boulevard location in Dickson City and Wednesday, July 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bartonsville Plaza, 292 Frantz Road location in Bartonsville. New members should RSVP by calling 570-307-1906 for the Dickson City event or 570-517-2060 for the Bartonsville event.
At the welcome events, new members will learn about finding a doctor within their network, taking advantage of preventive benefits such as yearly physicals and screenings to stay healthy, and using Blue Health Solutions to access personal health coaches and wellness and disease management programs.
All BCNEPA members also have access to Member Self-Service online or with a mobile device, where they can manage health care benefits and services, search claims history and view or print ID cards. Members can register for Self-Service at bcnepa.com/Members/SelfService.
Regular hours at BCNEPA’s retail locations are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
