Wilkes-Barre – Ten employee volunteers from Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) recently helped United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania, in partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, with its annual holiday toy distribution. The group from BCNEPA, who are all members of the company’s Caring Corps Employee Volunteer Program, spent the day sorting donated toys at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Apartments in Scranton.
All year long, BCNEPA employees are encouraged to volunteer for nonprofits in the community through BCNEPA’s progressive Volunteer Day policy, which provides paid time off to participate in community service.
