Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania Medical Director John J. Viteritti, DO, has been selected to participate in the AHIP Foundation's Executive Leadership Program.
Wilkes-Barre, PA —Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) Medical Director John J. Viteritti, DO, has been selected to participate as a Fellow in the 2013-2014 AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans) Foundation Executive Leadership Program.
Individuals chosen for the program are senior-level professionals working in a health plan who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to health insurance and the new directions it takes. The AHIP Foundation Executive Leadership Program provides Fellows – representing insurance plans from across the country – with opportunities to sharebest practices for improving patient care and making health care more affordable.
As a practicing emergency physician, Dr. Viteritti sees first-hand the challenges facing the health care system, and his work as a Medical Director with BCNEPA provides additional insight into the balance of ensuring that members are receiving the best care at the most affordable prices.
“Dr. Viteritti is an important part of our medical leadership team, and with his broad experience in health care, will bring a strong voice to the table as Executive Leadership Program members exchange ideas and tactics for providing affordable, quality care for their members,” said Nina M. Upon successful completion of the program, Dr. Viteritti will be recognized with the Certified Healthcare Insurance Executive (CHIE) designation – an endorsement of quality, comprehensive continuing education, and professional development. Recognized throughout the health insurance plan community, more than 1,000 health care executives and medical directors hold this distinguished designation.
