Dickson City Location to Offer Walk-In Service for Individual Consumers
Wilkes-Barre, PA—Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BCNEPA) is now offering walk-in service for individuals to shop for affordable health insurance coverage options at its newest Blue Cross Store of Northeastern Pennsylvania location in the Park Center shopping center, 1019 Commerce Boulevard in Dickson City.
The new store is BCNEPA’s second walk-in retail location in its 13-county service area covering northeastern and north central Pennsylvania. The Blue Cross Store of Northeastern Pennsylvania in Bartonsville serves consumers in the Poconos and opened in June of 2012.
The Dickson City location will provide individual consumers in Lackawanna County with a convenient and unique way to shop for health insurance coverage options. When consumers enter the store, they have the option to speak with a representative who can help them choose the most appropriate individual coverage option, or they may find information on their own at one of the store’s interactive kiosks.
The store hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by appointment with a BCNEPA representative.
“Now that open enrollment is underway on the Health Insurance Marketplace, individuals are looking for options to get covered,” said A. Paul Holdren, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for BCNEPA.
The federal Health Care Reform law calls for nearly everyone to have health insurance coverage on January 1, 2014. The Health Insurance Marketplace offers consumers, who may be uninsured today, easier access to affordable coverage options.
The Blue Cross Store of Northeastern Pennsylvaniaoffers consumers another option to shop for affordable individual coverage, along with BCNEPA’s established online and telephone resources.
“We have found that many consumers in our area are looking for the face-to-face interaction you can only get by sitting down with someone who can answer your questions,” said Holdren. “Consumers can now find that type of interaction at both of our Blue Cross Store of Northeastern Pennsylvania locations.”
