Health Savings Account Administration Is Easy!

What Is a BlueCare Health Savings Account (HSA)?
This is a personal savings account that you own that provides a way for you to save now and for the future! Funded by either you or your employer, this account must be offered with a federally qualified high deductible health plan (BlueCare QHD PPO and/or BlueCare QHD EPO). HSAs provide you with tax-free savings for medical expenses and any funds you don’t use can earn interest, accumulating to pay for future medical expenses or to supplement your retirement savings.

How Does it Work?
The IRS sets the maximum contribution amounts each year and you can save up to this amount even if your health care plan deductible is lower. You are responsible for paying the health care plan deductible, but the HSA is designed to cover those expenses. You can use the account to make payments for any qualified health care expenses with your HealthEquity Visa Health Account Card* online, using electronic funds transfer (EFT), or by phone.
